Thank god they won after that disgraceful overturn of the winning point. The second angle had clear as day space between the fingers and ball. Unbelievable they quite quickly overturned and blew that call.

Glad they could then celebrate and not have it ruined over a challenge.

Thank You. That was unreal absurd. No validation for that...replay has to, in every sport, be definitive. They reached so hard for that...the ball never changed spin. Embarrassing.

NOW, this being said: That resolve to come back and spike that crud home was a NO DOUBTER. Retke is a BALLER.

That match was fantastic. So happy for Sheffield, the seniors especially, and the program.

Truly a special moment for the University of Wisconsin community. That volleyball program has been special for quite some time. Elated they got a 'Chip. Absolutely thrilled. Ecstatic for Retke. That girl is an unbelievable volleyball player.

That was one awesome game. That overtime set was pretty epic. I watch a lot of high school volleyball, and do some line judging so not withstanding that last challenge the officiating was very impressive to me overall.

I agree. Lots of extremely close calls that were managed well over a course of a what, 3 hour match. Tons of blocks, in the Nets, tips, maybe tips to contend with. That overturned last point… I could see a finger go back. Is that definitive enough? Not sure .

Also, why won challenges aren’t kept, I’ll never know. You could challenge three calls, be right on all three, and have none left (until 5th set you get one). It seems better to lose a challenge if you lose one and keep all challenges that you win.

So the game isn’t a half hour longer.

For me, it would be Lose one and you lose another.

Lose your last and you don’t have the 5th set extra.

Not sure how this would add time. It might actually cut time.

I think the challenge rules are fine, part of the difficulty watching at that level is that it's more like baseball and calling balls and strikes and challenging those then fair or foul calls and tag plays or football rules. To be more clear its easy to see a lot of really close calls almost every match that it is almost more of a need for rob-ump type situation. Though I don't know how to implement that for touches.
