Regardless, Northwestern looks thoroughly outmatched right now. Unable to really pressure Mertz which probably is their only path to victory.

Have to think Leonhard is going to get some head coaching offers this offseason, and not just a stepping stone job either. Nice to see the Badgers mashing the lightweights down the stretch again, love to get a shot at OSU. Mertz looking good, not sure if it's improvement or opponents but still nice to see.

I think in college if it goes out of bounds it goes back to the point of the fumble but otherwise it's live ball and advance at your own risk.

Even in the NFL I can remember a play where a Rodgers pass was ruled a fumble against the Bears and everyone stood around until I think Boykins picked it up and ran it in the endzone. I think the rule is related to the last few minutes to stop desperation fumbles.

I get nervous whenever they play them down in chicago. I had no worries about this one at home.
