Ethan Small is playing for Leones del Escogido in the Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana (LIDOM) this winter and it's going terrific so far:

2 starts: 8.0 innings, 0 runs, 3 hits, 5 walks, 7 Ks

The team's roster includes Albert Pujols, Pedro Strop and probably some names that others will recognize: http://mlb.mlb.com/milb/stats/roster.jsp?sid=l131&t=t_ros&cid=671

While the individual player pages don't provide up-to-date stats, the links associated with the names point to the team stat page where you'll find the players name within the position player or pitcher sections.

So bookmark or favorite the post via this link. The stats listed are as of December 2nd, but you can then click the links to see the latest, and we'll try and update the text alongside each player's name once a week or so.

Doubtful we're going to get any additional winter league statistical updates unless the actual daily box scores emerge online.

As in past years, the winter leagues are in this odd multi-week round-robin portion of their schedules in which the season-to-date "regular season" numbers are not updated.

LHP Andy Otero (Biloxi / Nashville in 2021) has been excellent in his Dominican Winter League stint.

Otero, a native of Panama, tossed at least 5.0 innings in all eight starts of the combined regular and round-robin seasons, and in nine of his 11 overall starts, including the postseason. The pre-playoff numbers are reflected in the Baseball Reference page linked above, including his 1.79 ERA in 40.1 frames.

He started Game One of the Dominican Final Series Monday and received a no-decision - 5.0 IP, allowed 3 hits, 1 ER, 4 BB, 5 K. His team would grab a walk-off win in 11 innings.

Overall in those three postseason starts, Otero has only allowed two earned runs over 15.1 IP in three starts, a 1.17 ERA.

I'm curious how he is viewed in and outside the Organization. I haven't seen Otero mentioned in any of the 'Top Prospects' publications this off-season. I see a Lefty - diminutive in stature - that appears to have mild velocity. Is he viewed as 'just a guy'? Admittedly, I don't know much about him and am just trying to get a sense.

One of the best ways to learn about the players - audio interviews.

Here's Andy Otero with Nashville's Jeff Hem from last July.

Thank you, Sir. That was an interesting interview! He has an excellent grasp of English - very impressive. Another Brew Crew reclamation project...excited to see how he performs in Year 2.
