[ whats up with this in the boxscore? ]

In my first at-bat, I hit a ball to left field that started heading to the foul side of 3rd base. It hooked back in hit the left field foul line. The ump mistakenly called it a foul ball because he temporarily believed that it didn't matter that the ball hit the foul line, because it was on the foul side of 3rd base when it flew over it. It would have been a run-scoring double, and we would have won in the 7th without having to go extra innings.

So, apparently your opponent was the Club Carnival Dudes.

I offered to exchange lineups, but they didn't keep a scorecard.

I tried to go by uniform numbers, but they were only in front above the left breast and small in size. I was shielded from the right-handed batters. Couldn't pick up the OF's numbers.

i hope they at least kept their own. i have been involved in one too many scoring questions to not...twice in a game 2 weeks ago...both went our way and were never questioned by the other team

we ended up winning by 2!

Even the shortstop on the other was laughing himself silly over that.

Not sure. They only had one guy on the bench. The manager drew up the lineup on some Playskool whiteboard.

I called Milwaukee Rec Dept. today. I was talking with some sarcastic and condescending guy who said that we'd need written information submitted by 5pm today. I explained I was working, he asked why I didn't stop before work. I told him I was at work before his office was open, he said turn it in Monday. I have to work. I'll see what I can do.

Sarcastic man also asked if I informed the other team. I told him that I wasn't told to, the ump just told me to call the office and that'd be about it. Sarcasm disagreed. I got angry. He said that he doesn't think anything will happen at all.

Oh well.

So that's what happened. I could have sworn I didn't hear the first baseman catch it.. had no idea that's how the out was made. Man, what a rally killer http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

FTJ asked:

Perhaps next year we can do a Madison area team?

I don't see why not. That would be good. I'm not sure how many members are out that way, but if we garnered enough interest, I'm sure there could be a co-ed or men's only team for sure.

I'm also thinking about getting a Fox Valley BFan.net team together if there is enough interest. Lots of leagues up here...

I'd like to follow this more, but is there a boxscore or stats?
