Positive is the running game looked like what we expect. D of course is still ridiculous. Passing game, still a disaster.

Iowa next week should be interesting. Their coming off the L to Purdue then a bye today. So they should be fresh and clear motivated for this big game for them. Plus of course it helps them the game is at 11 am. I'd guess UW starts as 3ish pt favorite and I'd guess a low scoring close slugfest that could go either way. I'd pick Iowa, just can't trust we'll be able to throw the ball if needed.

I really thought this was a pretty good performance overall. By far the best work by the offensive line all year. Purdue's defense sure looked defeated and pretty much gave up in the fourth quarter. If not for Mertz missing the blitzing corner and Allen's set of butter-fingers, it was a really good performance by the offense. The defense finally got the turnovers that had been missing and looked like the group's only sore spot. I don't think a defense can play much better than what Wisconsin did yesterday.

How does it help that the game is at 11 am?

Generally speaking night games are considered better for home teams in order to have amped up crowds. 11 am games of course being the opposite are considered the worst and more likely to have duller lifeless crowd. Big Noon kickoff on Fox has to go
