Just when I though Davison grew up and became a respectable player…whoops, guess not.

.

I’ve watched the whole game and honestly have no clue what your talking about? I haven’t seen anything close to being disrespectful. Are you saying his leg coming out on a 3 means he’s not a respectable player, or did I completely miss something?

Clearly you were out of the room before half when he had to stick his foot out a couple feet to draw some lame foul before half on a three pointer. Nice throwback to his flop artist days.

I honestly thought he elevated his game enough this year where he wouldn’t feel desperate to pull lame stuff like that just to try and score like his early days when his offense really wasn’t there.

Seems like your searching for reasons to not like the guy. That play wasn’t that bad.

Had two fadeaways in the 2H that had similar leg motions, faders can get off especially when you get flustered when a big dude surprises you right in your face. With him, folks make a big deal about it due to his history. At this point he's on the short end of the stick on all this stuff and the refs whistles. He basically has to get trucked to draw a charge now. He definitely caught a break there though, in spite of the logical explanation by the refs on it.

The refs did themselves no favors by trying to explain the call on Davison's 3. I thought he got hit on the wrist regardless of his legs or hips or whatever.

UW dominated either way. Expectations keep rising for this team. Their weaknesses have been shored up in the last 2 games...hopefully that kind of improvement continues.

People are looking for stuff on Davison and over doing it, guys get legs tangled up once in a while, it happens all the time but davison has the eye balls on him. He really hasn't done squat in a long time now.

That weird call in the beginning of the game on Wahl (?) where he was called for a flop? There was no flop and not as bad as flops later in the game. Geesch!

If the guy blocks it, can you really call a foul because the guy tapped hips? Isn't that like hitting a guys hand after a block, where if you hit the ball first it is fine?

If Davison throws his leg into a guy to create contact, is that a charge?

Can there be a foul on the defense for one thing, but then give a flop warning/foul on the same play to the offensive guy?

I mean if they had called the foul for hitting his wrist, it seems a bit more straight forward. However, blaming it on hip contact leaves so many questions.

On another note Tyler Wahl is really turning into a solid guy and while Hepburn can be inconsistent his hustle is impressive. Crowl though...maybe just me, but he seems to leave a lot to be desired defensively. Seems like a guy with height and no athleticism.

I love how the McCaffery boys are so ticked off over that flop. As if that is the reason you went down 18 points in the 2nd half. Like father like son.

And then a bit later in the game a UW backup G was called for a charge under the hoop on a blatant flop.

In this game alone: Davison was horse collared and thrown to the ground, Bohannan clocked Davis in the back of the head in frustration after a foul, backup big guy elbow smashed our guy in the face in garbage time. Last game Purdue #50 big guy basically attacked Vogt twice with dirty plays on blockouts. Yet, the big discussion is Davison on a weird fadeway type shot (and Davison often has feet go out on shots like this even when open) where he was also hit on the hand and side getting his feet tangled up making him out to be some awful person. It's all overblown because he's a target. I even saw people trying to blame him for Murray taking the big fall when he blocked Davison's layup drive.

Haha what a perfect tweet by Flood. I hadn't seen that yet.

I just saw some replays of the Davidson 3ptr. I couldn't quite tell if he got ball or hand (or both) at the top. And certainly Brad stuck his leg out. But even without his leg out, McCaffrey clearly came down on Davidson and made bodily contact. Certainly 100% more contact in there than in the Bohannan clip.

Iowa fans whining about that call is really funny. They legit think they had a shot at winning if that was a no call. They were down 19 with 2:30 left in the game.

Once again, I have no idea what to expect tonight @Maryland. I doubt we get blown out, but anything else could happen...and if Johnny has a bad game and/or our shooting woes pop up again I guess we could get blown out too.

Yea that was a lesson learned from the FL Sweet 16 a few years ago when Nigel didn't miss in the same situation and it cost them the game.

Heck of a week for UW, should fly up the rankings tomorrow and sets up a huge game vs OSU on Thurs.

Also, I hope everyone noticed the Maryland PG with about 13 mins left flailing both legs out on a 3 pt attempt and there is an adequate outcry for the next 3 days on twitter about it.

Huh. Just keep winning.

The goal before the season was to make the tournament...the goal now has to be:

1: win the B1G

2: failing that, get protected seed to play in Milwaukee the first 2 rounds.

That said...considering the goal before the season, I vow to be satisfied if they make the tournament.

I remembered that Florida game right away when Davison missed the 1st. Nice win, 4-1 over a tough schedule to start league play. Amazing and they are young and getting better.

Count me in as thinking of the Florida game too.

Missing free throws and throwing the ball in the air at the end of games. Two things I want to see more of.

A bunch of people are putting UW in their top 10 which I guess is correct given their schedule and quality wins but feels way too high to me. They've gotten some luck in the close games.
