.500 and a NIT invite is probably the ceiling for this year.

You might want to take a long break from commenting on Badgers sports until you get to know their teams better.

Whatever. Glad to see them playing well. Davis is probably the most athletic player they have had since Sam. Happ was Really good player but the free throw line issues and lack of an outside game hurt him.

Not sure what Happ has to do with the 2021 Badgers.... but ok.

Badgers look pretty tough right now. They're not gonna score a lot of points on any given night, but the defense is definitely there, and Davis looks like the real deal. I'm not ready to venture a guess on how they'll do in B10 play, but they look like a team that's gonna compete hard on any given night. Yeah, they're small, but they play tough, hard ball, and as others have said, the guards get in there and play for boards. Minimizing turnovers and slowing down the pace of the game can also reduce the impact of a rebounding deficit. I think they're gonna be ok.

Just meant as a comparison to what I see as our more recent higher end athletic guys.

True road wins are always nice.

4-0 over this stretch is a great start. Next 3 are Marquette at home, Indiana at home, and OSU road.

2-1 would be just fine. I think the Big Ten is going to be wild this year. Purdue looks like the big favorite right now, but after that Wisconsin has looked as good as just about anyone. They're not as talented as those top 5 teams, but they might be able to be as good. Still getting vintage Badgers vibes from this crew.

Great road win. Now beat the Gold on Saturday.

Wahl is so much better this year. Unrecognizable. He can drive, score down low, is physical, etc. Why the Badgers are considerably better than first thought starts with him.

Wahl has been really impressive.

I thought he played well last year as an energy guy. It was valuable having him on the floor.

Totally agree he's added elements to his game this year, though, and with the point of your post. 100.

Another good win for Bucky! This team has the feel of both winning games it wasn't expected to and getting randomly curbstomped when things don't go well. I'm trying to come up with a comparable team but my caffiene hasn't kicked in yet.

I mean, I don't fervently follow the Badgers, but this is pretty much how I'd describe them most seasons. Aside from having Kaminsky, they are basically always a potential Sweet 16 team that can also lose to Northwestern on a given night.

I've always felt like the football team is perpetually overrated and disappoints, while the basketball team seems to exceed expectations quite often and not until very recently got the credit it deserved.

I can’t help but to wonder how much difference it’s making this season to not have the internally created locker room turmoil/borderline mutiny, also.

You mean not having Alando Tucker trying to create a mutiny because he thinks he can get the head coaching job if they fire Gard.

No matter who wins the basketball game today, Marquette and Wisconsin fans can both breathe a sigh of relief that we won’t miss either of our team’s football games tonight because of it.

Yeah Notre Dame's bowl game isn't until January.

This might be Johnny Davis's's's's last year in college.

Perhaps. But with continued development, and the flop rules in place, Davison might be a problem over the next few years for the Badgers.

Marquette has a cute team. They tried hard. Gold star.
