2021-10-12 (NLDS Game #4): Brewers (Lauer) at Braves (Morton) [Brewers lose, 5-4 -- Freeman’s 8th inning HR off Hader breaks tie, and hearts]

Eye Black
Stearns needs to figure out how to build an offense this offseason. Cannot waste another year of elite pitching.

[sarcasm]Probably will put together the best offense money can buy… for the Mets.[/sarcasm]

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Screw you, Counsell.

I mean everyone was asking for Hader to come in for the 8th so....

It felt like the mood was everyone wanting Woodruff to keep rolling since he was at 12 pitches. I don't think you can blame CC for Hader giving up a homer run but not double switching was lunacy.

Wait, Hader is set to lead off next inning? They didn't double switch? Oh my.

If they were going to do that before, no way are they doing it now that they are losing.

They never were. Pretty sure that was Hader’s one and only inning regardless of result.

I wanted to see Woodruff because I thought Hader was going to go more then one....he clearly was never in contention for that though.

Still would have liked to see Woodruff try to get through 8 so you have Josh for the 9th. Craig went to him early which is questionable, but Josh blew it - not sure Counsell is the reason were gonna lose

Not everyone

Yeah, I feel like most were wanting Woody for one more. I know I was. It made sense since he was on 12 pitches or something and his AB was coming in the next inning. I wanted Hader in the 9th. Oh well.

Here we are talking about the Dodgers and the World Series and we can't even make it past Game 4 of the NLDS.

Here's to another season of hearing about how special a team that lost the World Series was in rain delays.

Maybe the "bright lights" thing is real, because Counsell really didn't manage a good series, at all.

I think you can second guess the manager for pulling Peralta, but Wong, Yelich, Garcia, Escobar, sure didn’t make it easy for him

If the Crew doesn't go out and buy a couple of big bats this off season then I'm completely done. It's total BS that they keep trotting out LU's like this year after year

Can we hold you to that?

1000% because on top of that, not only will they NOT sign a couple of big bats, but the minor additions they do make, people here will be raving about like they always do.

I think both things can be true. A lot of guys that should be counted on underperformed, and CC just pulled some inexplicable strings at a few innoportune moments.
