This really gets me too - particularly when your other two catchers are actually 2 of your better hitters recently. Just because you have 3 catchers on the roster doesn't mean you've got to burn them all up - and before the 8th inning no less

I was told the Brewer bullpen was far superior to the Braves. Sure doesn't seem like that bears out at all. Think we might have some bias there.

 

I think it was true when Williams was in play, but the Braves bullpen is definitely close.

That was probably before the Brewers' second best reliever punched a wall....and before Brewer hitters started facing the Braves relievers making them all look unhittable.

 

The Braves' pen is solid, but it shouldn't be unhittable.

I'm assuming JBJ is coming in on the double switch for Cain. You're surely not having Hader lead off the 9th.

Only way to see the Brewers winning is for Hader to shut them out in the 8th, Brewers score in the 9th, and Hader finishes.

 

After that even if the Brewers score it’s going to be hard to close it out.

I hate going to Hader here...Woodruff's pitch count was still very much under control (12)...don't think Josh can get you through the 9th since he hasn't thrown 2 all year....we're going to end up seeing Cousins try to get some huge outs
