This is when I think long and hard about going to Burnes...need to cover 12 outs to get to Josh, don't think Ashby gets you there and really don't want to show them Boxberger for the third straight game

Burnes himself said he wasn't physically ready to pitch today. End of debate.

 

Counsell's quote was "At this time, we're not considering using Burnes..."

 

Seems to leave the door a little open vs a "Burnes is unavailable today"

 

After the Miley NLCS outing, I'll always read into Counsell's gamesmanship

Wow off the bat that sounded like an innocent pop out to the OF. I didn't think it was going to go all that far.

 

It fooled Ueck too. He said "fly ball to center field. ...." with no hint of excitement in his voice like he usually does on a deep drive, and then suddenly I think he realized Rowdy got all of it cuz he did the "heeeeey, get up ball!" bit

I haven't put this game away in the slightest but is there anyway 4:07 Thursday gets moved? I have soccer practice at...5:00.

 

Cancel practice, simple as that.

I've been listening to a lot of games this year, just feeling like it's time to enjoy and appreciate the fact that even if he hangs around a while, he might not do games more than a year or two more. He's actually been halfway decent this year calling the action.

Huh? Francouer, former Brave, seemed dejected. He clearly seems to be pulling for the Braves to me.

The decision to play Urias instead of Escobar has been a good one thus far.

 

so much better than good, however, maybe Escobar hits 3 bombs, we'll never know.
