I even disagree with those that think Yelich is good at getting on base. First 3 months he was at .403. Since that time .333.

Yup, his OBP predictably fell off a cliff once he continue to be terrible. Pitchers can just attack him…especially with breaking pitches he can’t do damage with.

Yup, once the pitchers realized he was nothing to fear his walks dried up.

Generally speaking, I still think or guess he'll bounce back next year to at least be good again. I'm guessing this back problem was more than they let on. Probably will never touch that Barry Bonds level again though, that stretch was just unreal.

I'm starting to hope they get eliminated just to put me out of my misery of watching this offense.

At this point it’s in their heads. Has to be. I don’t care how confident a player is, they’re human. And every one of them is thinking about it.

The interesting thing about this team is it is going to have to find a dh next year. You are looking at an outfield of Yelich Cain and Bradley and the extension is kicking in. People keep saying the future is bright because of the pitching but is it??

If he has something going on with his back he might be out of the league within 3 years.

Playing baseball is very difficult thing to do with a bad back

The Brewers are well on their way to joining the 1966 Dodgers as the only teams in the last century to get shutout in 3 straight postseason games.

That Dodgers team lost the first game of the World Series 5-2 to the Orioles before getting shut out in the next 3, two of them by 1-0 scores.

Sir, it is the 2nd inning.

21 of the necessary 27 scoreless innings to me is “well on their way”.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

23 straight scoreless innings in a Home Field Divisional Series is, um, not what the Doctor ordered for a Post Season experience. And, yet, here we sit. I give kudos to all you watching this offensive demise. I am on the road and, well, I am starting to feel a wee somber. Lol. Here's hoping some magic potion finds its way to the dugout and induces some capable AB's.

I hate how Snitker is portrayed as some genius for starting Morton on short rest. Placid faced Morton. It's Brewers absolute incompetence, nothing more.

Morton hasn’t even looked that good. If our hitters were normal/hot right now I have no doubt he would not have made it 3 innings without 2-4 runs given up.

We'll see. I understand the strategy to avoid a road game 5 vs. Burnes at all costs. But if Morton gets lit up in the NLCS there will be some questions to ask...

I can still dream about trades where we package Woodruff with Cain for some hitting prospects

Bottom of 2nd, runners on 1st and 2nd, one out. Broken bat fly ball out to Yelich. He catches it. The runner at 2B had taken off on contact. Yelich lobs it to Wong who touches the base and tags Freeman, who was on 1st before, at about the same time…..

If Wong would have tagged Freeman first, before touching the bag, the run would have been allowed to score UNLESS the team would have appealed the play (not left the field of play) to get a 4th needed out!!! Check it out…. Not talked about.

That they played a decent offense finally?

Counsell has also failed the team by continuing to do the same thing and same lineup this series and not changing anything up. He's a good manager, but he's managed a very poor series.

This series is squarely on the players. They can't hit the ball and it hasn't really mattered who it is.

He's very stubborn ... just like Ron Roenicke was ... remember Shaun Marcum?

Can’t really blame the manager for anything when the team scores 0 runs. You should be able to set a line up by picking names out of a hat and expect 1-2 runs.
