Dodgers hit 9 balls over 100 mph last night. The last out was 107 mph that had an expected hit of 890 or something and would have been a homer half the time. 15 mph winds made it an out. Baseball is tough.

Sports are an emotional casino, aren't they? Baseball especially.

That wind was pretty wild last night. Dodgers look to be in trouble to me. The Giants have a lot of magic and are playing incredible defense. Every time I turn on the game, someone is making a great play.

For any fans of the movie "Idiocracy", The White Sox fans cheering Altuve getting barely hit by a pitch reminds me of Guido cheering the crowd that was smashing his car.

...and now Altuve scores with 2 outs. Hey White Sox fans - that opposing player getting HBP was not a good thing for your team.

User in-game thread post in 1st inning of 3rd game of the 2022 season: "This team stinks"

I would still give the Dodgers at least 50-50 odds of advancing.

I think if you made that bet 1000 times, you'd go broke on it....but I also can't fully disagree with you.

At some point, I guess I'm thinking all the doubt about the Giants has to run into whatever the heck's happening out there. It sure seems like odd-year magic for once (for them).

Gents, that was a fun series. Thanks for letting me pass through and enjoy the series with you all. It was definitely a lot of tough luck for you all and some timely fortune in the Braves favor, but I don't remember a more nail-biting series for me as a Braves fan.

Looking forward to more series with you all in the future. There should be plenty.

Good luck out West. Hoping for a good series. As many on here have said, Braves we're the better team in these 4 games.

I'm hoping for the Giants tomorrow. They seem more fun to me than the Dodgers.

Nah, but it still didn't make a difference.

Good grief Rick. You're like the only one in the entire country dying on this hill. We all have eyes.

I believed what you did on first glance and even first replay but on the close up you'd have to be obscenely biased to stand your ground on something like this. Time to move on.

Its kinda crazy. He basically field goal kicks the ball if you watch it frame by frame (which you can simply do with the paused MLB.com video). Pretty much as the ball hits the ground Urias scoops it with his glove and the glove kicks it up and he is able to scoop it because he is running though the ball so to speak. If you watch the spin of the ball its clear he didn't catch it. The way the ball was spinning and the way it would have hit a moving glove the spin of the ball should have stayed pretty consistent. Instead the balls spin stops due to it hitting the ground and Urias hitting the side of the ball almost at the same time. The spin of the ball really only restarts once it hits inside his glove and rolls up it.

Just for the record, Brian Galinowski @ FanGraphs feels is with Rick on the Urias play:

The ball is literally on the ground. I don't know what else to say about it.

The ball is not on the ground on your shot. I have no idea how you know it is or isn’t.

I have watched the play literally a couple hundred times at different angles. When the ball actually bounces UP… and you have to watch the ball…the glove is beneath. It is so terribly close. I have never seen a play like it.
