After a tough loss yesterday dropped the Sounds to 5-1 in the AAA Final Stretch, the team is ready to bounce back today. Ethan Small gets the call, also looking to bounce back from his last start (1.2 innings, 3 ER) to end his otherwise terrific year (1.87 ERA in 72.1 innings across 2 levels) on a high note:

Nashville blasts Indianapolis 8-3, Boosting AAA Final Stretch Record to 6-1

The Sounds built an 8-0 lead through 4 innings and coasted from there, while starting pitcher Ethan Small finished the season on decent notes on the mound and at the plate. A double, 4 singles and a walk produced 5 runs in the 3rd inning, before a Rowdy Tellez 3-run homer put the game away in the 4th inning.

The Sounds are now in a tie for 2nd place during the AAA Final Stretch, with 3 games remaining:
