I'll never ever forget that Super Bowl...was rushing home from work (living in Albuquerque, NM at that time) and was doing my standard Mountain Bike routine home to the North Valley. Finally get home. Having all sorts of trouble getting the game on the tele. Finally get the game. Right as Green disrupts Big Ben with some pressure and a mammoth hand to his grill. Nick Collins pick (Nick Collins! Sigh) for the TD. What a truly once in a lifetime moment. Weeks prior, I watched the improbably dominating win in Atlanta while finishing up some freelance work in the USVI. The people I was renting the room from had to come check on me after I nearly broke windows when Tramon returned the pick for the TD. What a surreal and awesome post-season experience.

This season has me all sorts of reserved. It was a great character win last week. But, things still feel tenuous and slow and in the 'still figuring out this team' realm. I don't really like, what looks like a regression to me, what I'm seeing from Rashan. I thought he was absolutely primed to take a big big Leap. What I'm seeing instead is way too much high speed bull rushing right past the QB. He needs to learn the art and nuance of the bend and the move back to the QB. We really lack any meaningful depth behind Barnes - who, himself, is a fairly average player. The D Line played much stouter last week, but, again, I am concerned by the regression we are seeing in Keke and we also know he is potentially an injury waiting to happen at any moment. I remain concerned by our inability to create Run to Pass flow consistently in the offense.

All this being said, this is the most solid we have been at both kicking positions in a LONG time. LOL.

I couldn't tell you why, but the '96 title is a lot more memorable to me than the one in 2010. And I was 9 in 1996, so it wasn't like I'd been long suffering. I think it might be because I expected a couple more after 2010 and it never happened. After '97 when they lost, I never felt like the Packers were a real contender until a while later.

There have been some good games with Pitt though. I remember a thriller we lost at home with Matt Flynn too.

I still haven't gotten over how they lost the '97 game. There was just no way the game should have gone that way. Still eating my bitter greens. LOL. I would say I won't bring up the NFCC game in Seattle...but I just did. :(

Pittsburgh looks pretty bad across the board offensively can't run, can't pass, terrible offensive line.

Yup. Steelers O is currently 28th in PPG at 16.7.

But, Packers D is currently 24th in PPG at 27.7.

Classic battle of the resistible force versus the movable object.

I think the Packers defense is probably middling-bad, and will make some bad offenses look at least mediocre.

That being said, Big Ben showed a lot of signs in the 2nd half of the season last year that he was slowing up, and even though his final season stat line looked pretty good, he might have been wise to hang 'em up and call it a career. This Pittsburgh offense just doesn't have a lot to offer, and I think the Packer should handle this game without a lot of fuss I hope. 31 -21.

I think the Packers take care of business today, but I predict a close one: 27-20.

EQ is up from the practice squad, but they don’t have to burn his second (and final) elevation because they have a COVID exemption for Tyler Lancaster.

Was late to decide not to go to this one and couldn't find any friends who wanted them so put them on stubhub for the first time back on Monday. They finally just sold but I took a loss on them, maybe should have stuck it out at a higher price but interesting that you can get tickets at such good value, not the hot seller I would have expected and my tickets are lower level sideline. Maybe Covid is the elephant in the room here but makes me wonder if giving up my tickets and just going a la carte is the way to go.

I hear there's alot of Steelers fans at the game. I would've thought you'd make a killing for those.

Probably needed to get them out there earlier to take advantage of travelling Steelers fans. I would guess a week out everyone waits for last minute price drops in the parking lot.

Going to games can be boring. The commercial breaks seem like they last forever. I don’t mind going every few years but I would never be a regular.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
