Just dropped by to say congrats on getting it together this season, up there with LA and SF

I kinda lost the baseball faith this year, not watching games but the win streak has pulled me back in, but I'm not stoked about it. Good luck in the post, guys ;)

Seeing as how your next post will be a special one, got any predictions for the postseason this year?

Your team is doing its best to ruin what should be one of the most relaxing weeks in our history as Brewers fans. Congrats and enjoy it while it

lasts, because we’re going to have a great time watching the Cards in the wild card game next week.

My gut says we beat LA in the one game and get hammered by the Giants in the next, and that's how I'm going to bet the games (yes, I bet against the Cards at times...Jake Westbrook made me a small fortune a few years back)

How did you guys do vs. the Braves this year?

We're just glad only 1 of St Louis, LA or SF will make it out of the NLDS.
No kidding. If the Cards knock out LA/SF in the one game play-in I expect a re-structuring of the playoff system immediately. But if the tables were turned and one of us small markets got burned it would just be "That's baseball"

I see a lot more of the "it isn't fair" stuff coming out now than I did in 2018 when the two best records in the league were in the central. Considering four of the five teams in the central had winning records it was even less fair than this year.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

That's right. Toughest division in baseball for a DECADE and there was little mention in the media of it until we put 3 teams in the playoffs

I doubt any other division did that...ever

“Us small markets”?

You certainly can’t be suggesting that the Cardinals and Brewers are in the same category of “small market”.

The geographic scope of the Cardinals fan base results in broadcast revenues that far outpace the Brewers’. If the Cardinals are small market, the Brewers are micro market.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I'd say the Cardinals playing winning baseball for 100 years while the Seligs mismanaged the Brewers has resulted in broadcast revenues that far outpace the Brewers'. If the Brewers continue to operate a well-run franchise that can win games, their fanbase will continue to increase, and their broadcast revenues will continue to rise.

Selig should be thanked for bringing baseball back to Milwaukee. I just wish he'd have sold the team in the late 80's or early 90's when he realized that he was overmatched in the era of big free agent contracts. Thankfully, Attanasio has done a wonderful job making the Brewers relevant again.

"The most successful (people) know that performance over the long haul is what counts. If you can seize the day, great. But never forget that there are days yet to come."

Point taken. Lesser market. In my mind there's 3 classes: BIG - NY, LA, Chicago, Houston and Phoenix. SMALL - everybody else except TINY - Green Bay

St. Louis is a dying city, not as bad as Detroit, for example, but in my lifetime we lost the Hawks, the Cardinals and the Rams and the city itself is borderline blighted.

I don't know that much about Milwaukee, but it has to be more prosperous than the Lou! FYI I moved the hell out right after high school and will never return.
