Alright offense, lets get a win for Woodruff so he doesn't have a losing record on the year....jeez.

It seems ridiculous when you look at his numbers that he is below .500 in the win column.

Just another reason why that stat is so worthless...

I would just like to see the Cardinals relegated to "who cares" status on national telecasts. Otherwise this game doesn't matter ... even in the slightest.

I guess it would be pretty cool to see this Brewers team set a franchise wins record, though.

Even better to do it at the expense of the Cardinals...

The pressure is what makes it fun. This week is somewhat boring for me. Excited for playoff baseball!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

The best case is loses by the Reds/Cardinals/Padres. The Padres play at 9pm or something so if that would be the clinching moment the Cardinals would have to stay up till like midnight just to celebrate right away. It would be the most miserable and anticlimactic clinch possible.

Padres are already eliminated but the Phillies are technically still alive. I’d like to see either the Reds or Phillies win tonight and with Cards losing. That way any type of celebration, if the Cardinals clinch tomorrow, is before an early game on Thursday. Would still be fun if they clinch after losing the game because the other teams lost.

Really don't care about this game and won't likely watch any of it unless I see Woodruff has a no hitter or something. Would get some pleasure in the Cardinals not being able to celebrate after a win but enjoy more that no matter how many games they win in a row it very well ends a week from tomorrow for them.

This is going to be a weird week Enjoying baseball not worrying about the result

(But sweeping the cards here would be great. Just to knock them down a peg or two)

Plus you dont have to worry about the rotation as much as we dont play our first playoff game until next friday. A complete four days of rest

I honestly think this will be the first game in Milwaukee history where they play a game with a clinched playoff spot and nothing to play for. Even in 2011, they clinched the division with 5 or so games left, but they didn’t clinch the 2 seed over Arizona until the last day. 1982, 2008, 2018, 2019, 2020 all had things to play for on the last day.

The only one I, not sure of would be the weird 1981 Half and half season

Since home field advantage in the World Series is based on best regular season win percentage, there's an outside chance the Brewers catch the Rays and an outside chance the Astros catch the Brewers. The chances anyone else catches the Brewers are slim to none.

So it's not over yet!! Nail-biting time!!!

They clinched on the next to last day so I think the last game was meaningless.

Correct.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Might not be pressure, but I still love beating the Cardinals, under any situation...

Sunday night I went to espn.com to check in on general sports news. They had at the Cardinals winning streak as one of their headlines but not the Brewers division clinch. I rarely get upset about sports issues, but that really struck a nerve. A sweep to return the favor would be incredible right now.
