Nashville is 2-0 in the AAA Final Stretch and throws another dominant pitcher at home against Columbus today. Ethan Small makes his 8th start in AAA and 5th since coming back from injury - 0.95 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, (but only) 5.7 K/9 in 28.1 innings:

Matt Lipka Powers the Sounds to a Comeback Victory, 6-4 Over Clippers

Despite falling behind 4-0 early, the Sounds never gave up. Four relievers kept the squad in the game, before 8th inning homers by David Fry (solo hit) and Matt Lipka (3-run blast) won it. The Sounds are now 3-0 in the AAA Final Stretch, one of only five undefeated clubs (with 3-0 Jacksonville, 3-0 Durham, 2-0 Round Rock and 2-0 Oklahoma City).

 

Brice Turang – 2-3, 2 walks, 1 RBI, 1 SB

David Fry – 2-4, HR, 1 RBI

David Dahl – 1-2, 2B, 2 walks

Matt Lipka – 1-5, HR, 3 RBIs

Ethan Small struggled for once: 1.2 innings, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 Ks

Thomas Jankins put in the most work: 3.0 innings, zero runs, 2 Ks

Connor Sadzeck earned the win: 1.2 innings, zero runs, 2 Ks

Zack Brown and Kyle Lobstein were also solid: 2.2 innings, zero runs, 3 Ks (Lobstein save)
