Wanted WWE Theme Night Tickets

brwrsfan

Good morning,

I know this is a long shot. Long story short....my son is a big WWE and Brewers fan (he's 9). This was supposed to be his weekend with his mom so I didn't buy tickets for us to go (I have season tickets, just not the theme night ones). Last minute, his mom and I switched weekends and I thought "awesome, I'll take him to the theme night".

Go to look this morning, naturally tickets are sold out - which must have just happened as they were there when I looked a few days ago. Ugh. know this is probably not going to happen, but I figured I'd ask if anyone happened to buy any theme tickets they can't use or were planning to use purely to sell the bobblehead that they'd be willing to sell me for tomorrow.

Again, not expecting much, but figured I'd at least try. Thanks.

Jeff

Hey there,

Are you interested in getting one of the WWE Uecker bobbleheads? My fiance is letting me do whatever I see fit with her's. I'd be interested in trading one-for-one if you happened to get one of the talking Ueckers from today?

If you were hoping for just the experience - gotta say it was a major let down! Didn't notice anything WWE themed other than some fans wearing wrestling t-shirts - thought for sure it'd be more like Star Wars night where they use some of the theme music and images during the game - but didn't notice any of that going on.

Yeah man, that was one of the worst theme nights ever. Literally other than the bobblehead, there was NOTHING WWE related, we were pretty disappointed. I know they honored Uecker and all that, but still. It's not exactly a theme night when it's just a bobblehead giveaway. I was expecting WWE music, scoreboard images, etc - like they do for Star Wars, 90s, etc. Oh well, at least we still had a good time.

I'll DM you about the bobblehead.

Absolutely, my kids were excited for it and dressed up. Didn't have to do much, but ridiculous that they did nothing, not even a welcome to WWE Night. The Saturday prior they were promoting the theme night pretty heavily, just a real poor job by the Brewers.

One would think a WWE game would be a day game when WWE was in town for evening matches. They could bring some wrestlers in for meet and greet, throw out the first pitch, root on the racing sausages, whatever. The Brewers just don't have any imagination. Really, how obvious is a Darth Hader Star Wars bobblehead... after he's traded.

Well this was originally scheduled for last year like most of the bobbles, thus why the dates are funky on most of the boxes. I don't know the ins and outs of this at all, but there could be a bunch of factors outside their control as far as what the WWE actually paid for, licensing rights, etc. I think it's more likely the Brewers have plenty of imagination but are limited by other things.

WWE had a PPV in Ohio the next night. I'm sure they wanted to focus all their resources on that instead of a baseball game.

There was plenty of stuff that could have been done without any WWE involvement. Changing walk up songs, changing the scoreboard images to have a WWE theme, that type of stuff. For as much as they promoted it, to only do a bobblehead was disappointing.
