So, where does Strickland land in the bullpen hierarchy in the playoffs? Seems Hader, Williams, and Boxberger are pretty clearly the main 3 guys late in games, but Strickland has been pretty darn good.

idk Box has been making me a little nervous lately. I wouldn't mind Strickland or Cousins in that 7th inning role.

ehh, Boxberger really just had the one blow up outing against philly. He's been really dependable otherwise.

He also gave up a home run last night. I guess it depends on what he does his next appearance.

Can Reyes play OF?

Yes… or at least he has played in the outfield previously in his professional career.

Then they need to put him out there the remainder of the year and get him playoff ready.

They can’t. They need to give JBJ time to work through his slump.

The Pirates were going for the sweep against the Marlins today. They scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th inning to take a one run lead. They gave up a run in the bottom of the inning to tie it, and again took the lead in extra innings in the top of the 10th. The Marlins just hit a walk-off home run to win it.

Why is this interesting… The Pirates were trying for their first sweep of the season. They are the only MLB team this season without a sweep. They are now 0-for-15 in games that were sweep opportunities this season. That’s an MLB record for futility in a single season.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

i'm shocked they've had 15 opportunities at a sweep.
