Strike 5. Bradley is out.

Was just chuckling at Bradley K-ing on the worst pitch of the AB. Just not his year.

There is no way he makes the playoff roster. Likely dfa'd at the end of spring training 2022.

It would cost 17.5 million to DFA JBJ, that's a lot of money to eat.

I'd also wager he makes the playoff roster for pinch running / defense purposes.

If Taylor is healthy there is absolutely no need for JBJ on the playoff roster. Zero.

Taylor is going to need to start playing on the big club soon. But I do agree

How big is the playoff roster? Is it expanded or is it like it was before pandemic

I believe it goes back to just 26.

Sure there is. It allows you to pinch hit Taylor (best RH on bench) in a big spot & still have a speed / defense OF waiting in the wings.

If everybody is healthy...

Omar, Manny, Rowdy, Kolten, Willy, Eduardo, Luis, Jace, Yelich, Lorenzo, Avisail, Tyrone are 12 locks on offense.

Corbin, Woodruff, Peralta, Houser, Lauer, Ashby, Suter, Hader, Devin, Boxberger, Cousins Strickland are 12 locks for pitchers.

My guess for last two right now would be Gustave & JBJ with Maile, Vogelbach & Norris on the outside looking in.

It does. Hard to justify having a defense / pinch running specialist who can’t hit on that roster. I’d love for Bradley to turn it around at the end of the season, though.

We're talking about the last position player on the roster. It's either JBJ for pinch running & defense (which also frees up Taylor to PH whenever without worrying about burning your only backup CF), a third catcher (Maile) or Vogelbach, who is redundant with Tellez & would be 3rd in line for LH PH ABs behind Rowdy & Jace.

It's really six of one & a half a dozen of the other & three pairs of the third, just a matter of preference. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Stearns & company prefer to go with JBJ as he offers the most flexible skill set of the three.

Great win tonight for the Crew! Yes it was ugly but they stuck with it. I love how they don’t ever give up.

I think JBJ is on the playoff roster. His defense is elite and could really make a difference late in a game. I keep hoping he’ll get on a hot streak late, but we are running out of time!

Boy Ashby! That was fun to watch.

The pitching roster for the playoffs excites me. The thing is with houser and lauer probably not going to start I don’t know if I would use suter at all. Both of those guys would do his job. Let alone you have Ashby too

Suter is the one I would get nervous if Craig brings him in a tight spot

Also maybe you don’t include gustave if you want jbj. Then you can also add vogelbach as a pinch hitter. Since jbj is useless there

People keep hoping for a hott streak. I'd just accept batting .200 the rest of the season as hott. His nat doesnt know a hott streak this entire season.

I think 12 pitchers is enough for a 5 game division series.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
