This is getting ridiculous. Yelich is batting 0.220 with 4 RBIs and a 0.529 OPS in the last 15 games. Obviously there is something seriously wrong with him. Is it physically or in his head? If there is absolutely any way we could dump his salary, I would seriously consider it if I was Stearn. I hope we don’t wait around like we did with Hiura.

Tuned out of the game when Woodruff had a perfect game through 3.0 IP. Came back to see posts about whether he has lost his spot on the postseason rotation (?!) :embarrassed

I was bracing myself for a lot worse than 6.0 IP, 3 ER, with a sub 1.000 WHIP on the day :laughing

It's too late. He's going to be here a long time, for better or worse.

I'm trying not to totally concede yet that the Yelich contract is going to be an albatross, but we're 2 seasons removed from the ink drying on it now. It doesn't look promising.

Yelich’s OBP and SLG are almost equivalent, and both are < 0.400.

Yelich is still under 30 and he has been not-great-but-fine this season. He's been worth $10 million so far by fWAR in an injury-shortened season. Huge difference between "overpaid" and "albatross."

Yeah, but his 9 year extension is worth $23 million per. :laughing

When it comes to the playoffs the word "rotation" is just a word to me. I don't think they are going to look at it that way. I think are looking to get 27 outs however they can get it and you may see some things you didn't see in the regular season. Woodruff will be one of the guys in there asked to get outs, that much is for certain, whether it be to start or to relieve

Lauer in the 4th and pitch the 4th thru 7th.

2021 has been way different in how CC has used the rotation and bullpen. Who knows how this will all go down, but I highly doubt that Woodruff or Burnes are just going 3 or 4 innings like in 2018. They are horses. If pitching well, they are much more likely of throwing 110 pitches than 3 or 4 innings.

Thought it would be pretty clear that I'm referring to the upcoming 7 seasons, not his current year salary relative to his current production.

Everyone on brewerfan.net board will need to deal with it. Including you, :laughing

Psst… it was about my Woodruff comment.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

So you admit to trolling? See ya next week.

Come on guys ... I know it wasn't in blue, but the Woodruff rotation spot point was about as sarcastic as you're gonna get.

Very true but brewerfan posters have never been able to detect sarcasm without the blue, just the way it is, not going to change now.

Is it really that difficult to highlight the text and click the (sarcasm)?

To be fair there are similar level hot takes posted non-sarcastically on a daily basis on here (e.g. Yelich is the new Chris Davis)
