That's OK, we're on Manny Pina cycle watch. Something that happens less than no hitters BTW.

We need a gapper that hits the wall funny and takes a long bounce away from an outfielder. Or someone to dive at a sinking liner and have it skip under his glove.

An outfield collision……nobody gets hurt but they are slow getting up

Manny has quietly raised his OPS up over the .720 mark, right in line with career standings.

Was just looking through FanGraphs positional splits earlier.

Catchers are currently 5th in wRC+ (111) & tied with SF for 1st in WAR (5.0).

2B have also fared well with a 121 wRC+ (4th) & 4.2 WAR (2nd).

Molina 0.9 WAR

Pina 1.1 WAR.

Ergo Manny is a $10M catcher

The Blue Jays offense isn’t too hot. They’ve scored 27 runs in their last 4 innings. 11 in the 7th yesterday to come from behind in the last inning of a doubleheader. Then 16 I the first 3 innings today, including 10 in the third. They won the first game of yesterday’s DH 11-10.

Toronto's offense is awesome, 3rd in runs scored (735) & 1st in OPS+ with a 113 mark.

The Orioles pitching is the opposite of awesome, with 835 runs allowed & an 81 ERA+, both MLB würsts.

This Brewers team feels like they’re somehow playing their best baseball of the season over the past month even though they’ve been good pretty much all season.

The stretch of 16 games in 16 days that included series against the Reds, Giants, Cards, and Phils was the block of the schedule that I wanted the Brewers to get through. If they were going to lose significant ground, that was where it was most likely to happen. Even with the little stumble in the “sandwich” series against the Twins, they got through that at 10-6 and put the division race into my comfort zone.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

This can be a discussion for the off-season, but with Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta, Houser, Lauer, and Ashby, I wonder who they might be willing to trade to help fill a hole in the every day lineup. I realize that you can never have too much pitching, but you also have trade value to get value and with so many teams desperate for pitching they might be able to get a pretty strong position player in a deal including one of those pitchers.
