Damn I LOVE this TEAM. What more can I say? They grind. Luis...just beautiful to stay in it after those couple plays that let the Phils back in it.

And, in a parallel universe, Bryce Harper just took another timeout in the Batter's Box.

I'm getting more and more invested in the Giants/Dodgers race with our race all but over.

I want so bad for the Dodgers to end up in the WC game and lose like 3-2 and that's just it for them right there.

I have seen enough of the Phillies to know I would rather not face them in the playoffs.

meh. they aren't a threat.

Of course they are…..5 game series they could certainly beat us…….but so could Atlanta so doesn’t really matter……..will be tough series no matter who it is.

Is this what it felt like to be a Brewers fan in 1982?

I’ve never experienced anything like this before. They win every game they should win and about half the games they shouldn’t win.

Yeah, there's a whole lot of 'snatching victory from the jaws of defeat' going on with this team, when the opposite was true for so many years.

I’d be curious what others who were adults in 1982 think, but I think this season is significantly different.

For one thing, the teams themselves were quite different. The 82 team, after it’s dreary first two months, won mainly with offense combined with adequate enough pitching.

But the biggest difference is that this September is a joyride compared to the emotional roller coaster of September 1982 as the Brewers tried to hold off the hard charging Orioles. As late as two outs in the last of the 8th in game 162, the outcome was in doubt. Not until Ben Oglivie’s sliding catch that might have prevented the 3 tying runs, followed by 5 two out runs in the top of the ninth, could most Brewers fans exhale.

Anyone who lived through that, and has no desire to repeat it, should understand why some of us weren’t resting easy with a 7 game lead in mid August. This is much more fun.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Thanks Jason! I learned in the past few years, especially, I needed to change my approach to my Love for Wisconsin Pro sports. If I'm not enjoying the games and rooting them on and simply offering my relatively meaningless support, I personally am doing it wrong. I thank the Herb Kohl Bucks years, the 80's Packers, and the Brewers of the 90's for helping me earn my stripes. I've gotten older, life is shorter, and I simply can't get too negative on things I have no control over.

And, I have to be real: I am 'All Chips in the Center' for the opportunity to see a Bucks AND Brewers Title in the same year. I refuse to not be All In. :laughing The worse-case scenario is I get a little heartbroken in the Playoffs and then it's on to the Packers...who also are poised to make a run. I mean, 2021 is AMAZING to be a Wisconsin Pro Sports fan.
