What's up with Urias bending himself backwards until the pitcher is about to release? That doesn't look like that would benefit any hitter.

We tried doing that last week on the golf course. It kind of hurt.

Lauer has convinced me that he is part of the solution moving forward. With Houser Ashby and him I wouldn't mind seeing a 6 man rotation again next year. Anderson is probably done here. Keep everyone healthy with the depth they have.

I’m sold on the 6 man rotation.

Lauer has looked very poised tonight. Having Lauer become a solid mid-rotation starter along with the emergence of Ashby as a starter with great stuff (and even the possibility of Ethan Small as an eventual backend starter) could give the Brewers a really nice collection of left-handed starters in the coming years.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Hope Sternes finds a gold glove first baseman this off season.

The first baseman we have is doing just fine

He won't be back.

Tellez? Why wouldnt he be back?

Edit: Hes 26 and has been solid since joining the Brewers. 790 ops, 110 ops+

If Lauer is a stud, does it even matter what Grisham and Urias do? What a nice trade this is turning out to being.

The stupid ivy at Wrigley cost the Cubs a tying run. With a runner on first and two outs a drive in the gap took one hop and disappeared into the vines.

Cubs still trail 2-1.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

The weirdness of 2020 makes that trade really tough to evaluate. I'm happy with it. Both teams got value. San Diego a bit more quickly so far, but I'm with you. If this is the Lauer we'll get....that'll change.

G: 20

W-L: 4-5 (hopefully 5-5 soon)

ERA: 3.22

IP: 95.0

SO: 90

WHIP: 1.18

I mean, this is some good stuff. If we didn’t have 3 others guys fighting over a Cy Young, this guy would be talked about a lot more. Awesome to see.

He’s really only had one true ERA busting outing this season. That 2.0 IP against the Tigers in which he gave up 7 hits and 7 earned runs. If you subtract that one outing his season ERA would currently be 2.61.

Well toss him in the Cy Young sweepstakes too then! I did not know this. Cool!
