Zack Wheeler seemed nearly untouchable through much of the first half of the season, but has been touched up much more often in the second half.

Wheeler since July 7th: 4.59 ERA, 68.2 IP, 65 H, 35 ER, 15 BB, 69 K, 8 HR

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Yup. Wheeler was on the fringes of the Cy Young conversation for a bit. Not so much anymore.

Philly, just like St. Louis, is playing for their playoff lives right now. I like that we're playing a lot of teams this last month that have a lot in the balance. It'll keep the Brewers sharp and focused (hopefully)

The Brewers have 8 left-handed hitters in today’s lineup.

Garcia still out and JBJ in CF. Still, on paper this lineup looks a lot better than yesterday’s.

Wheeler seems to be throwing close to 100 pitches or more every time out, even when he gives up several runs, which he has in most of his recent starts.

He was near perfect in the May matchup with Woodruff as he threw one of his two complete game shutouts this season. The other was a few starts ago against the Mets, but otherwise he has been getting touched up for 4 runs or more more often than not.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I count 7? Urias and Woodruff being the righties. Or is Woody a lefty?

Edit: yes he is. Was confusing him with Burnes...and so is Roto Wire :)

Is Taylor coming back or is he done this year

He was placed on the 10 Day w an Oblique on August 21st I recall? At the time, the news was the Brewers Medical staff thought a 3-4 week injury. I'd say he is going to be given time to heal proper and they will assess whether he'll be available for Playoff Bench Depth to get his legs and game back.

Bad start, did segura bunt on 0-2?

No, it was a weak infield hit to Wong. Wong had to make a good barehanded play to make it close. It was close too, but I think Segura was safe. Segura did a head-first slide too, which Rock chastised him for.

as he should have...
