Quick Summaries of the Complex League Games from Monday...

 

Blue defeated the Guardians 12-6. Hendry Mendez lead the way going 3-5 with a 2B & BB, while Jose Sibrian, Branlyn Jaraba & Jose Caballero each notched a pair of hits. Sibrian took over for Quero after the 1st inning, so hopefully nothing too serious for Jeferson. On the pitching side Santiago Elizondo struck out 4 over 2.1 scoreless IP while Kelvin Bender notched 3 K (& 2 BB) in his inning.

 

Gold also took care of business, winning 9-5 over the Padres. Eduardo Garcia lead the way on offense at 3-5 with a double while Oswel Leones, Alberis Ferrer and Jesus Chirinos each collected a pair of hits. Fray Morelo picked up the Win with 2 scoreless innings (3 BB, 2K) of relief. Also of note, Padres super prospect MacKenzie Gore started for the Pads giving up 2 ER / 8 H over 6 IP with 7 K / 0 BB.
