Giants may make Cueto go at least five regardless of the score.

I would if I were Kapler. Two games coming up against the backside of the Brewers rotation, he has to figure those are the most winnable games. No need to burn the bullpen any further today.

Welp, this didn’t age well.

I liked that Cueto worked fast.

Things were moving along nicely.

He’s one of my favorite opposing pitchers. Works fast and keeps it interesting with how he varies his windup and quick pitches. I like him even more after the way he pitched tonight.

Brewers winning, and in other news we are one step closer to my dream of a Jackie Bradley Jr. - Lorenzo Cain - Keon Broxton defensive alignment in OF to close out some tight World Series games. :laughing

They don't steal like the '92 team, but I do like having so many players that make base running interesting and fun. They certainly seem to make all the little things payoff pretty frequently.

I begged for a more athletic team in the off-season and Stearns has come through. Even going from Vogelbach to Tellez for me is a win in that department. I hate base cloggers.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Quintana....creep can roll, man.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

No fly ball would ever touch a blade of grass.

The weird thing is that in my head I would have assumed that it wouldn't matter unless you tried for a high contact high batting average team like the early 2000's Angels. The eyes and stats both show it is working though.
