Brian Gorman had an average impact of 1.4 runs for Minnesota last night. How is this acceptable for a bad umpire to have as much impact as a star player? How does MLB turn a blind eye to this garbage and allow it to continue?

On the plus side, the Marlins just batted around in the first and put up a 5 spot on the Reds. Two of the outs was a sac bunt by the pitcher and on the base paths, and the only way Gutierrez will find the strike zone is if Brian Gorman is behind the plate.

LOL Pat Murphy getting tossed while bringing the lineup cards out is awesome!

Lol wish I could have seen this.

If you have MLB.tv they showed it as the broadcast started so you should be able to rewind.

Looks like he was jawing at Gorman about last night. I could read his lips saying "That the *expletive* ball game right there"

An ump's jump got much harder with the box on the telecast and people keeping track of every pitch and publicizing it.

It didn't get harder at all. A ball is a ball and a strike is a strike. Perhaps they'd get better at their jobs if there were some actual repercussions for their ineptitude instead of what I suspect are slaps on the wrist and being told to do a better job next time.

Well, this Barnes looks like he has absolutely no movement on his pitches at all. I miss the weeks/Braun/hardy/hart days when you’d see 4-5 homers off a guy like this. of course we’d give up 3-4 homers as well. Oh well, please start hitting

Having to sit your all-star catcher two games in a row just because of matchups is really a shame.

Why wouldn't you play the better player for the situation (not to mention he needs rest days anyways)? Pina has been pretty consistently good versus lefties while Narvaez has been pretty consistently bad versus lefties.
