I finally get to see a game on TV, and this is what I get. Blecchh! Well, there's still 5 innings to go.

ugh! Too bad it's a game where just know you're going to be behind before you have an atbat. Then extrapolates from there.

The lack of patience from Brewer bats today is going to give Gray a chance to go the distance. Can't beat up a terrible pen if you don't get to them, guys.

At this point it doesn't really matter. Just save your good pen arms and take your 2 out of 3 and move on to the next series.

Welp ... if you would have told me on Monday that the Brewers would take 2 of 3 from the Reds, I would have been happy. So it's tough to get too upset about this one.

It would be nice to see the offense put up even a little bit of a fight, though. I mean, Sonny Gray is not having a great season.

I was hoping not to have to resort immediately to the consolation of, "Oh well, at least we won the first 2."

Great conversation going on on the broadcast right now about this being how fast baseball used to be played. Baseball has made a lot of nonsense rule changes that don't cut any time off of a game lately, where if they actually enforced the time between pitches rules on the books already, the problem would be solved.

Exactly. Each game is an opportunity. And yes, while you do have to have 5th starters, I just wish it would feel like ours atleast gives us a chance once in a while.

The Brewers are 9-10 in Anderson's 19 starts this season prior to today.

I mean, I get being frustrated with Anderson. But him not giving the team a chance to win is not a good argument.

Anderson, Lauer, and Houser have been pretty good almost all year. Would say that they have given the team a chance much more often than not

If the Brewers lose this game they will be 9-11 in Anderson starts & 7-6 in Lauer starts.

It might not feel like it, but playing one game under .500 for your 5th/6th starters means they are giving their team a chance to win every once in awhile.

I don't think anyone expected Rowdy to be a 1.050 OPS guy. I do wonder if he can be an .850 OPS guy. Everyone goes through ups and downs.

He's of course not as bad as he's been lately nor nearly as good as he started out.

My guess is he's more or less another Vogelbach, value-wise. Has MLB value, but not a guy you want in your lineup every day. An .850 OPS seems extremely on the optimistic side to me, long-term.
