Has anyone here ever pulled a muscle running bases in their life

My god

Yes. Going first to third, expected to have to slide the entire time. Got the signal to stand up. Stopped a bit suddenly and felt like I was shot in the back of the leg. I have never once mocked or thought poorly of pulled hammys since that day.

I've done it several times in softball. But then again I was over 35 years old when I did it.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Chronic pulled quad playing softball - getting out of the box. Every year. Multiple times. Debilitating.

Hit a double or triple possibly and halfway to second the loudest explosion from a human body happened - and a millisecond later I was on the ground in a heap. Tore my hamstring. Second baseman said he heard it and it was disgusting. Ended up black and blue from my butt to back of my knee.

These pitches are missing by a lot. I hope Burnes isn't hurt or something is bothering him usually when a pitcher is missing like this it means they are having some kind of discomfort. Hopefully this is just a mechanical issue and not a physical issue.

Lots of yes responses. I feel like that's not what you were expecting.

Hahahahah. Guys talking about slow pitch softball injuries

I fully expected that

I will ask another question. Have you ever run the bases in your life? And don’t count the Miller park run the bases when you were 8

Do all pitchers have sorta weird ticks? Burnes almost always runs his hands through his hair after the pitch. Kershaw always grabs his belt

Pretty much. I realized at some point that I adjusted my cap after every pitch. Didn't notice for a long time. I guess it must have felt like it shifted every pitch or something and I needed to straighten it a millimeter.

I'm trying to figure out your endgame here. Are you seriously trying to a) criticize a professional baseball player for getting hurt playing a sport, and b) saying that nobody here has ever played baseball?

If it's neither of those, please enlighten us, because your posts are weird.
