I like Espino's pitching style ... very precise.

 

Eh. He's about the textbook definition of a back end journeyman. He was a Brewer for awhile. Pretty sure we DFAed him at some point.

 

He's not nearly as good as we're making him look.

Generally, yes, but he IS pitching well today. Really putting the curve in good spots and mixing the fastball.

Nationals definitely striking the ball better against our pitchers than we are with their pitchers.

 

Brett Anderson and Eric Lauer are not our best pitchers, of course, though.

 

Hopefully, we can get Woodruff going well again, get Peralta healthy again, and keep Burnes sharp/fresh for the stretch run.

Brewers need to play ALL their games on the road ... so much for home-field advantage.

 

Maybe the fans are not loud enough?

 

Maybe the closed-roof or the threat of it changes the dynamic of the game for the Brewers players?

 

Maybe we need the organ playing of Frank Charles once again?
