That was a VERY aggressive send. I thought Sedar was back for a second there.

2 outs it was the right call

There was a slight misplay by O'Neill. Not even much of a misplay but wasn't quite able to grab it on the first swipe and it cost him a second or two, prior to that I think Wong was holding.

I'm not sure that the Cards deadline strategy of bringing in every washed up vet starter that they could find is going to be enough.

Think about how hard pitching is to find for teams hit by the injury bug…..I mean the Padres picked up Arrieta and threw him right into the rotation.

It is pretty crazy that two teams with playoff aspirations made acquisitions to their rotation that included Arrieta, Lester, and J.A. Happ. Great rotation additions, if it's 2014....

It really is amazing lol……when I saw they picked up Arrieta it was like “ what are they doing?”

Must have not felt like they had any other better options…..which is crazy to think about.

I know Molina has had a great career and all but the loyalty the Cardinals have shown to keep him around is just nuts. He's an average player at his position at this point in his career and now they are extending him again. They are letting guys like Wong walk rather than pay him. Can they not find a better use for $9M than a 40 year old catcher?
