My dude. Throw strikes. You are doing basically the only thing that is going to let these guys back in the game.

I'm pretty sure he is trying to throw strikes.

Thanks, I thought he was targeting 8 inches off the corner til I saw this.

It looks like Woodruff is really struggling with the heat. Strange.

That happened to me once in high school. Middle of the summer, 90+ degrees at noon. During the first two innings, I thought I might pass out. My dad brought me ice water-soaked towels to wrap around my neck in the dugout. Fortunately, I pushed through and felt fine once I got to the third. Ended up pitching five of the seven innings because we were kicking ass and there was no reason to go more in that heat.

Playing in this park with the wind blowing out the way it is, a 4 run lead is not safe, I don’t care who you’re playing. The Brewers probably are going to need more than 5 to win, or at least they’d better approach their ABs as if the game were tied.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

How crazy is it that losing Jace Peterson to the COVID IL was a bigger loss than losing Yelich? Do we have a big enough sample size now to determine that Peterson doesn't, in fact, suck?

While he cooled off considerably after his hot streak, Peterson has at least shown that he is a useful utility piece on the bench. Until last night and today his last month or so has been pretty ugly.

Urias @ SS (710 innings) -5 DRS / -6.4 UZR

Urias @ 2B (489 innings) +2 DRS / -0.3 UZR

Urias @ 3B (575 innings) +6 DRS / +2.3 UZR

Small samples abound, but Urias has graded out fine at 2B and above average at 3B so far in his career.

What was so wrong with that throw? I think a more seasoned 1B would have picked it. Going toward the line, nice pick, not an easy throw.

Yeah, I don't get the venom on that. An actual 1B digs that out.

I think Coach Cooper has taught us all to expect excellence and accept nothing less.
