Beating Pittsburgh is a matter of business. Play the ballgame, that sort of thing.

 

Beating the Cubs is always a pleasure, whereas losing to them is a source of agony/frustration.

 

The Pirates are just a team. The Cubs are almost as evil as the Cardinals and Yankees, and only slightly more evil than the Dodgers.

I think it would take a bit of digging to find that. What I can say is that both B-R and fangraphs don't like the Brewers 1B defensively. Of the guys that have played 1B for the Brewers, only Shaw and Billy McKinney grade out positive on fangraphs, and Shaw alone on B-R.

 

And I'm kinda over Shaw... Tellez is a DH, so is Vogelbach (seirously, can he even bend over?) and Hiura should be a DH. Escobar is a 3B and Jace Peterson is a utility guy who's not played a lot of 1B before.

 

So, what does the Crew do about first base in 2021?

 

On the one hand, do they try to see if there is a change-of-scenery deal possible for Hiura? I'm sure there are some options on that front. Figure one of Tellez/Vogelbach should be dealt.

 

Would it help to move Yelich, and go with an outfield of Taylor-Bradley-Cain in 2022?

 

Or, perhaps the Crew can use Narvaez at first, and go with Feliciano/Pina at catcher.

I'd be willing to bet large sums of money that not one of these things happens except maybe a minor trade or two.
