2021-08-11: Brewers (Burnes) at Cubs (Arrieta) [Brewers win, 10-0 -- Burnes strikes out 15 and doesn’t allow a walk; Burnes also ties MLB record with 10 consecutive Ks]

Storms brewing out west. Probably about 1.5 hours away.

Just get through 5 and we can rest easy.

Either way with the new rules this game will count, there is no more starting a game over if it doesn't go 5 innings, but yeah it would be nicer to just get an easy 5 or 6 inning win or something.

I can’t figure out who’s worse right now - the Pirates or the Cubs. Both are just awful.

Right, and I sometimes even feel badly if we run it up on the Pirates, but not the Cubs.

More pleeeease

Looking at the radar now, it looks like a possibility of a brief delay, but this game will get finished tonight

New franchise record. Might as well go get the MLB record tonight.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Well… 1 more to tie the MLB record and 2 to break it.

Consecutive K’s streak? Doesn’t like Brian Shouse or some lefty from 10 years ago have that over several appearances?

Purposely the forward K to indicate swinging? It's 9 in a row swinging, not just striking out.
