2021-08-10, Game 2: Brewers (Ashby) at Cubs (Mills) [Brewers win, 6-3 in 7 innings]

Isn't there some crazy stat that shows we win over 50% of the games when Adames gets a hit? Feeling good about this one.

Also, this Cubs lineup would barely be allowed in a Spring Training split squad game.

Over 50%? :tongue

We win over 59% of our games in general, so maybe I'm missing the joke. :laughing

They’ve won about 65 percent of the games he’s been a Brewer, so that would be a bad indicator.

Odd question. With a 7 inning game, is the standard 5 innings required to make the game official or is it also shortened to 4 innings?

My belief is that it is 5 innings regardless of a 7 or 9 inning game. It does say 5 in the rulebook (4 1/2) if home team leading), and I can't find anything that mentions any exception for a 7 inning game.

If we get small and Ashby into the rotation with woodruff/burns/peralta it’ll be like a small market dream team rotation. hopefully we can pair a bullpen and lineup with it.

I'm an idiot.

So I checked Baseball Reference. Willy has gotten at least one hit in 43 games. Our record in those games is 31-12 for a 72% winning percentage.

Guess it wasn't as crazy a stat as I thought.

The game is about to get called

I think they get another inning in but that's about it.

I love how the lightning warning tells fans to seek shelter and the players are like "Uh, what about us?"
