Perdomo extended this game at least 10mins with that .2IP 32Pitches. My word it's 1115

Perdomo’s inning at Wrigley back in April was 35 pitches. So combined at Wrigley he’s gone 67 pitches, 1.2 IP, 3 H, 5 ER, 4 SO, 4 BB in those two outings.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Would think Boxberger and Norris are the only available arms left, assuming Counsell sticks with his plan of 1 inning max for all relievers.

Boxberger threw in game 1, would think he’d only be used in an emergency tonight.

That could be excused if it were Colorado. But Wrigley? Game Day those pitches even had a lot less movement than the previous Brewer Pitchers. So I fear he'd get rocked if he had control.

Also, interesting Gameday didn't even show this Wick guy as in the bullpen. Maybe the 27th player for a double header?

Bullpen management is an issue heading down the stretch. Counsell is going to need to give guys a chance to get more than three outs. You can't keep giving guys one inning but 5 games a week.

Looking through the game logs it appears Boxberger has thrown five times over a one week stretch twice.

Hader & Williams have not thrown five games in a week this year.

Raptor in line for the save? Win?

Pretty sure Sanchez is in line for the 1-pitch win.

So he will likely tie the MLB record. I assume it has been done before. Wonder how many other times?

Actually in 2003, B.J. Ryan recorded a win without throwing a pitch for the Orioles (picked off a runner before throwing a pitch).

Wow. Never knew that.

They made this game a lot harder than it had to be, not every game has to be managed like the WS. You're facing the Cubs, you could just go 2 innings for Strickland, 2 Cousins, 1 Suter, or Sanchez, or Norris, or something where you use about 3 guys to cover the 5 bullpen innings. You really can't pitch Perdomo in anything other than complete garbage time.

Cubs made things much tougher than it had to be too with this stupid split doubleheader. They're 7 inning games, normal doubleheader and you get everything done by 7p.

But whatever, good to sweep the DH, 7 game lead now. Things are pretty good.
