I think it is totally fair for fans to measure Yelich by a standard higher than “average”.

If he’s higher than average, what’s that make him? …. Above average. If he’s that, I’m fine with his contract as expecting MVP numbers probably wasn’t realistic. Find a bit more power and hit a bit more against lefties and he will be alright.

OK, your standards and expectations are substantially lower than the Brewers front office and Yelich himself. They didn’t give him the contract he’s getting to be slightly above average against RHP in the prime years of his contract.

This isn’t what I said. But I think you can actually read and know that.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Throw freakin strikes. I’m glad we now can hate Wisdom, might want to have one good major league season before staring at people.

Weird stare down from Wisdom.

Yeah...I don't know what it is about the Cubs. They like really need to get chippy about strange things. Not a great way to go through 162 games...

Usually comes from the managers style. I know CC stays away from that stuff. I don’t remember Ross much as a player but he seems to be okay with that stuff. Always odd to me. But to each their own.

There's sure a lot of pessimism about our offense first time through the order against a bad pitching team. I really don't understand it. When is the last time we were shut out anyway?

I think it's residual from early-career lefties seeming to always do a number on the Crew. But, yeah. About 4 of the 9 outs have been hit at 100+ mph. Need to elevate.

Good play from Taylor to keep it to 1.

They're a bad baseball team. So they need to create drama and action from things other than winning baseball games.

Bad Freddy today. Too bad. Haven't seen Bad Freddy much this year.

He allows one run and it's bad Freddy? Feel free to fact check me on this, but I don't think anyone that's pitched more than 20 innings this year has a 0 ERA.

He's putting a lot of runners on, missing his spots, serving up plenty on a platter, and throwing a ton of pitches because of it. This is the Freddy we saw quite a bit a couple years ago. It is possible for a pitcher to minimize runs and still have a poor outing. That's what's happening today, IMO.

Part of it is this is a 7 inning game. Less opportunity.

They've done this stuff for years, though. Contreras it's part of his personality, so maybe now he's the only guy left we'll see more of it.
