As of right now, 90% chance of rain at 7pm and 8pm. Down to 35% at 9pm. High probability of at the minimum being delayed if not postponed.

It’s the Cubs, they cancel on 70 and sunny some days. I fully expect to see baseball tomorrow…

The Cubs aren't contending and don't have Joe Maddon continuously burning out the bullpen, a classic Cubs "fake" rainout isn't likely as they won't specifically benefit from it.

A double header would be great. Use our starting pitching to get possible complete games. Come on rain!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

That chance of rain might be in the form of severe thunderstorms. If that threat is there any time before 7 there's a good chance the start would be delayed or the game postponed.

I would be in favor of an early cancellation, then go with Peralta and TBD spot starter tomorrow.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

How about Freddy for 7 and Ashby for 7 and we have nice, stress-free night not having to worry about the bullpen coming in at all.

That would be great if the offense can produce 5 or 6 runs against the likes of "No Hit" Mills.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I see the reds are facing a pitcher with an 8 era tonight

He's out of the game already after two innings. Looks like the Indians are having a bullpen game.

The Indians starting rotation has been ravaged by injuries all season.

The Reds were hitting liners all over the park in the first two innings but only managed one run. Hopefully the replacements can do better and protect what is now a 5-1 lead for the Tribe. Castillo is having a rough night.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
