After a rainout yesterday, the first place Mudcats (3.0 game lead over Down East) will play TWO today against Kannapolis. Felix Valerio (9-for-27, .923 OPS, 9 RBIs in last 6 games) and Gabe Holt (10-for-38, .882 OPS, 10 runs in last 8 games) are heating up and lead the Mudcats in Game One:

After losing the opening game today, Jhoan Cruz takes the ball for the Carolina Mudcats in Game Two tonight. He’s been on a decent 5-game stretch (2.92 ERA, 22 Ks in 24.2 innings, albeit with a .790 OPS against):
