July departures:

 

C Payton Henry - RHP John Curtiss trade, yet to debut with AAA Jacksonville (Marlins)

 

RHP Reese Olson - LHP Daniel Norris trade, still at High-A, but reports indicate he'll be promoted to AA by the Tigers soon (UPDATE: Promoted 8/16)

 

3B Alberto Ciprian Eduardo Escobar trade - the 18-year-old made his debut in the D-Backs system Sat. 7/31 (1-for-2, RBI, BB)

 

OF/C/1B/3B Cooper Hummel - Eduardo Escobar trade, and yes, listed as a third baseman as well, hit for the cycle in his 2nd game in D-Backs system (video)

 

RHP Ryan Weber - Claimed by Seattle, made two MLB appearances, then optioned to AAA Tacoma

 

LHP Nathan Kirby - INF Kevin Kramer trade; has struggled in five AA games with Erie (Pirates)

 

RHP Bowden Francis - Rowdy Tellez trade; has pitched well overall in four starts for AAA Buffalo (Blue Jays); most recent start was his roughest, 5 IP, 4 R, 3 HR

 

RHP Trevor Richards - Rowdy Tellez trade; 1-1 in six appearances spanning seven innings for Toronto (0.86 WHIP)

June departures:

 

RHP Bobby Wahl - Claimed by Los Angeles Dodgers; was immediately optioned to AAA, where he made two appearances. Then in short order, DFA'd two weeks later, cleared waivers and was released, then resigned to a minor league deal by LA, and placed on the 7-day AAA injured list.

 

C Samuel Escudero - the RHP Jandel Gustave and LF Troy Stokes Jr. trade with Pittsburgh; the 17-year-old is off to a slow start in 11 games for the DSL Pirates Gold squad

 

RHP Zack Godley - Elected free agency; signed by Cleveland, five AAA starts (7.58 ERA); released by Cleveland August 2nd; UPDATE: Signed by the Mets

 

UT Jake Hager - Claimed by Mariners; spent a month at AAA, was just DFA's and claimed by Diamondbacks; TBD if AAA or MLB next

May departures:

 

OF/1B Billy McKinney - LHP Pedro Quintana trade (Quintana yet to debut); now with the Dodgers after 39 games with the Mets

 

RHP J.P. Feyereisen - SS Willy Adames / RHP Trevor Richards trade; currently on the IL with shoulder discomfort no structural damage, though he is dealing with some biceps tendinitis; 2.42 ERA in 21 games with Tampa Bay prior

 

RHP Drew Rasmussen - SS Willy Adames / RHP Trevor Richards trade; has been in MLB since June 24 after eight AAA appearances; 4.00 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in ten games (18 appearances) with the Rays

 

C Jacob Nottingham - Claimed by Seattle, later outrighted to AAA, where he made only one appearance before landing on the injured list June 18th.

 

INF Logan Forsythe - Released, has not seen action since June 18th release; not on final Olympic team, had participated in qualifying action.

 

LHP Wade LeBlanc - Released, now in MLB with STL, ten games (six starts)

 

RHP Phil Bickford - Claimed by Los Angeles Dodgers and has remained in their big league bullpen since call-up on May 23rd (2.60 ERA, 1.16 WHIP in 30 appearances)

 

RHP Paxton Schultz - PTBNL in Derek Fisher trade; in the rotation in High-A for the Blue Jays

April departures:

 

IF/OF Orlando Arcia - Traded (RHP Weigel / Sobotka); optioned to AAA on 7/31 after 27 days with the big league Braves

 

IF/OF Dee-Strange Gordon - Released; first signed with Cubs, then opted out there, now in AAA for the Pirates

The Blue Jays added Bowden Francis to the 40 man and Diamondbacks added Cooper Hummel.

 

Also, Payton Henry was already on the Marlins 40 man, spending the last couple of weeks on the big league club, collecting 4 hits in limited action
