Cardinals Acqiure Happ and Lester

Looks like the Cardinals strategy for getting back in the race is to throw every bum lefty starter they can find in the 13 games remaining against the Brewers.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I guess the good news is that the Cards really didn't do much to make themselves better, and the Reds acquired three meh bullpen arms, so the Brewers probably at worst lost no ground on their NL Central competition, and likely got better-er.

Twins, Braves, Royals, Pirates, Royals, Brewers Pirates, Tigers, Pirates

You mean the Royals are beatable?

 

I haven’t seen that, but I’ve heard yes…… Cards have 10 games against Pirates.

The biggest possible improvement for the Reds is getting Castellanos back in the lineup.

 

For the Cardinals, it’s getting Flaherty back in their rotation. He is on rehab now and should be back by the time the Brewers face them next.
