These trades just aren’t working out.

The two relief pitchers have done nothing. Literally haven’t shown up.

 

Bunch of jerks not being there for their teammates.

I know it doesn't work this way, but if I was guaranteed we'd have won the World Series that year like the Cubs did when they acquired Chapman, I'd probably still have done it.

No, believe it or not, tone isn't always obvious on the Internet, but I already did suggest that as a possibility, so......

 

The relief pitchers we traded for have “literally” had no chance to make it to Atlanta and join the team, seeing as they were acquired mere hours ago. There’s no need to pick up on tone. It was, quite obviously, sarcasm.

Dude. I didn't know if he was telling him that the guys hadn't shown up yet in a serious response to him saying the trades hadn't worked out, or if he was going along with his sarcasm. So yes, I misinterpreted the tone.

I grew up watching baseball in the Braves Bobby Cox era and it seemed like you could just basically pencil them in at the top of the division every single year.
