Imagine being a Padres fan, thinking you have Scherzer, then all of a sudden, you don't, and he goes to LA.

That's not bad enough, then they get Turner too...

UGH!

Jesse Dougherty of the Washington Post reports that a deal to send Max Scherzer and Trea Turner to the Dodgers is "close."

Dougherty reports that Scherzer has approved a deal to Los Angeles, which is a big step since the right-hander has 10-5 rights. The Dodgers will reportedly send their two top prospects in Keibert Ruiz and Josiah Gray in the deal along with Donovan Casey and right-hander Gerardo Carrillo. There's likely to be a lot of paperwork in this trade that make it a slow burn, but it sounds like this is one that is going to get done. Incredible.

Nice series for the ol’ run differential.

Heading into the game their Pythagorean W/L was exactly the same as their actual W/L.

After the game, their Pythagorean W/L might be better than their actual W/L.

Pouring salt in the wounds with having Gustave end this one.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

That was just an utter destruction of a sweep

It wasn’t even competitive

Let’s hope the 13 games the pirates have left with the reds aren’t like this

Knowing the Pirates they probably will ruin someone's season one way or another.

I was looking at the schedules today and, for the most part, the Brewers and Reds have very similar schedules. The biggest differences are the Brewers having 13 games against the Cardinals and 6 against the Pirates, and for the Reds that’s reversed. Also, the Reds have 7 games against the Marlins and the Brewers have 7 against the Giants. The Reds will have an opportunity to pick up some ground by beating up on the Marlins and Pirates as those teams have shed some of their better players.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
