Is Peralta going to be piggybacked tonight, or will he be allowed to go as long as he can effectively?

I read someplace that he might be piggybacked his next few starts to save his arm.

I am almost positive he said after his last game that he will be back on a normal leash now.

So nice seeing Pina in his perfect spot instead of hitting cleanup.

Cain for a 3rd game in a row just after an extended DL stint? Either CC is trying to break Cain or he finally realized the dumpster-fire that is JBJ.

My guess is they double switch him out whenever the starter leaves the game.

Even if Lo is a league average bat at this point, he's still going to provide WAY more value than Bradley and probably even slightly better defense too, and I guess they did the off days thing at AAA so that when he came back, he was ready to play every day.

Glad to see him out there, I hope he continues to play well because we could really use him.

Going home there saves an out AND scores the run. Playing it safe by staying at 3rd means we have a guy at 3rd with 2 outs and no runs. Now we have a run, a baserunner AND only 1 out.

Dodgers on the verge of landing both Max Scherzer and Trea Turner… WOW.

I so hate the Dodgers. Hope the Padres (or anyone else) can throw a wrench in that.

Though the Nats must be tickled with the Dodgers-Padres bidding war. That dead last and not even close farm system of theirs is about to improve.

I assumed Urias was booking it as soon as the throw went the other way to make Wong's buying time move worth it. On the replay, Urias barely made the move to head home until half a second before Wong was tagged. Uh...ok.
