Bucks close to signing DeAndre' Bembry. Can't say I have ever heard of the guy, but seems to be a decent defensive wing from what I have read, which would help the bucks, especially with the lose of DDV via trade at Patty C for the next 4 weeks.

VERY good defensive wing. He can handle tough assignments and slow guys down which will be incredibly important in the post-season. Decent court vision and passer. Not guard handles but his handle is decent. This season, he has inexplicably hit the corner 3 at a decent percentage tho this is on very low attempts. Historically he is a 28-29% shooter from behind the arc. It appears to me, the universal sentiment among Nets diehards is they really lament losing him for nothing and they especially don't understand how they just waived him and now he is on the Bucks.

This is a good signing and a real bargain at that. It really isn't often you find a guy this versatile, playing this well as a glue guy, on the street.

Giannis leads the league in points per game and is 54th in the league in minutes per game.

Missing open shots by millimeters. Rimming in and out. Turning it over in a 1 possession game. Not getting foul calls from the officials. That's a recipe to lose a close game at home. Still a minute left but not looking good. Embiid has been a Monster tonight. Incredible offensive performance.

Yeah, really fun game tonight with the playoff atmosphere. Even if we get Brook back in some capacity before the playoffs, Philly will definitely be a tough out.

East is going to be a bloodbath. Really isn't an easy match up out there. MIA/TOR always play us tough, CLE has Allen/Mobley to slow down Giannis, BOS is the hottest team in the league right now, PHI has Embiid/Harden, BRK will be a threat as long as they have Durant, obviously bad blood with CHI after Grayson's foul on Caruso.

100% agreed. I was actually clapping hands into this One unlike any other game this year. A couple real boneheaded TO’s in crucial junctures and just the inability to hit those open looks was the game. Refs are going to ref but, actually, all in all I felt they called a fair game.

I really just want to see this team with a full and healthy roster. That’d be really neat and fun too (I think).

Milwaukee should be due for an NBA All-Star game soon, right?

The one and only time they’ve hosted was in 1977. It seems like the NBA has always favored large and/or warm markets, but recently Cleveland (2022), Utah (2023), and Indianapolis (2024) have been awarded ASGs.

Goran Dragic, predictably, signs with a bigger Market and the Nets forming what just might be the absolute worst defensive backcourt in the entire NBA. This being said, Dragic would have been a nice depth addition. Curious to see what moves the Bucks will make to ensure they meet the roster requirements. I imagine, for the time being, they'll just add a 10 day. The Nets did waive Jevon Carter to make room for Dragic - will the Bucks kick the tires there?

They are the champs. I think there will be buyout candidates out there in the next week or 2. They can do better than 10 day guys.

Devil is in the Details: They absolutely must fill one roster spot (Bembry signed to fill Monroe's 10 Day who is temporarily not on the roster at least) before the end of this week. It's a stipulation of the NBA rules whereby a team is allowed to dip below the roster Limit for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time during the regular season. The Bucks dipped below on 2/10/22 with the deadline deal for Ibaka.

Hence, a 10 Day makes a lotttttta more sense to fill that need of the rule mandates. Now, this being said, if they saw a FA or a Buy-Out suddenly within this same 3 day period? Sure. BUT, there's not need to do anything other than spot fill with a 10 Day while they wait for a more serious signing. Your sentiment is right - agreed there. BUT, the way the rules work it isn't necessarily going to work out that way.

Looks like Jevon Carter is the player they will sign to meet the minimum roster size.

Yuppers. I thought this might be the case (post above) but it's definitely a funny turn of events - Bucks pick up the 2 best defenders on Brooklyn's perdy turrible defensive squad.

Which version of Jevon Carter are we going to get? The Phoenix version? He was a serviceable rotation guard in Phoenix and I found him quite enjoyable to watch. OR, the Brooklyn version? He was near unplayable for Brooklyn with his shooting percentages falling off a cliff. He's always going to give you great defense - at least, guarding the 1...he lacks the size to meaningfully guard any sizable 2's. BUT, if he can't knock down the open shots that will be coming his way, I don't know what he's providing other than garbage time minutes.

Considering what was out there, I guess we'll have to wait and see. I haven't disliked what I've seen from Wigginton in the games leading up to the ASG. He was hustling and getting to the FT line and improving. He clearly lacked size and any meaningful impact defensively. Anywho, time will tell.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where the best place to get tickets for a game? I'm thinking about going to Saturday's game. It just amazes me the handling charges if you go through Bucks .com or StubHub.

Stubhub, Seatgeek, Tickpick and Gametime all vary. Those are the four sites I use.

George Hill out at least another week. Good grief G. Hill is literally an injury waiting to happen. Tyreke Evans looking trim and in shape and wants another crack in the League now that his suspension was lifted. He is trying out with the Bucks this weekend.

Bucks desperately need another viable ball handler with the ability to create their own. IF, and it’s a big ‘IF’, Tyreke is indeed as healthy and in-shape as his recent workout vids suggest that’s a lotto pick off the scrap heap. He’s always had the talent and at 6’6” he has the size, is a decent enough defender, and can handle the rock let alone get to the FT Line. He probably gets a better whistle, today, than refs have ever given Giannis.

I just have to say: Kyrie Irving is an artist with the basketball in his hands. The move he just pulled off and the straight buttah nothing but net jumper he hit to close the half in Milwaukee - not to mention the insane level of difficulty on about 4-6 other straight net jumpers he hit in the 2nd quarter...the man is a basketball savant. He 'should' have been listed in the top 75 of all time in my estimation. When this young man is hitting, with his artistry and athleticism and his uncanny ball-handling and shot-making ability, it is literally un-stoppable. It is just a pleasure to watch.

Let me also just say: The Eastern Conference Playoffs have the makings to be an absolute Bloodbath. 1-10 I wouldn't want to face a single One of these squads in a 7 game series. An insane amount of balance.

This Bucks 3rd qtr performance is vomit-inducing. There are no words to define the lackadaisical effort on defense giving up wide open back door cuts and the sloppy careless turnovers. It's gross, frankly. They continue to play like a team in disarray. They continue to play for the Play-In game. This is not an elite EC team at present. Pains me to say it, but, they haven't been since they got their clocks cleaned in Phoenix. Lotta season left...not looking good at present.

Awful performance by Jrue.

Goodness yes. Inexplicable turnovers from your starting PG. 4-8 from the FT line. Just careless, sloppy, brainless TO's - they were just terrible. A truly cringe-worthy performance, tho, from the entire squad. Giannis most definitely included - a key 2 FT shank series late in the 4th and brainless TO's as well as Midds in the 3rd. That 3rd quarter run of defense was hard to believe. They looked like a pre-season team playing the bench guys in how poor they were at understanding the pick and roll responsibilities.

At this point, it is unreasonable to anticipate Brook coming back super healthy and things magically fall into place. I just don't see it with this team as they are currently constructed. I think it is entirely fair to say the Bucks are not a better team than the current version of the Heat, Sixers, Bulls, or Celtics. They just aren't. NOW, this all being said, and as I referenced to earlier: lotta season left. They defied the odds last post-season. I just don't see that unexpected luck carrying them now.

Also: it sucks to say it but Ibaka is washed. Man, I was really hoping there was still some gas in the tank as I didn't think DDV was a very good player regardless. What I've seen since he's arrived? He's washed. A real bummer. That injury last season clearly took its toll and, unfortunately, he's on the wrong side of the age spectrum to anticipate a recovery in the next year or two.

Possibly - but I'm pretty sure the Bucks record with their big 3 is still really good. Like, maybe best in the East good.

It is very good. BUT, and this is a post-washing my eyes of what I saw last night 'BUT', they have a very tough stretch of games coming up. We shall see. What I saw from Jrue last night, honestly, was embarrassing. And, an addendum: I love Holiday. Always have. BUT, those turnovers last night? Are you kidding me? Those were beyond careless...What do we make of that? I don't know. Then, we have our starting PG just tanking at the FT line to boot in the closing minutes? Shooting 75% on the season? That's a mere 3% better than Giannis. I am worried about Jrue. There, I said it.

I mean, I expect Midds to have incredibly head-scratching bouts of mindless and lazy turnovers. It's been who he is for years. BUT, I also know come clutch time he has it in him. He's shown that at the highest level under the brightest lights - AND, it was pretty clear, last night at least, he was NOT getting a whistle whatsoever (shocking, a Buck not getting a whistle). BUT, with Jrue, he really struggled for a lot of last year's Playoffs and I think we got a couple absolutely crucial performances (Amen!) in key games or moments that cleansed our eyes of what we saw. SO, I just go back to: I'm worried about Jrue. :laughing
