Kudos to Mike Guerrero and the Shuckers. They fought and clawed and lost and lost for 2.5 months. Then their top pitcher was promoted after a game they were leading 3-0 was halted by rain.

 

And now, with no new talent injections (unless you count Garrett Mitchell starting to figure out AA pitching after initial struggles) or even additional bodies (they’ve 11 position players, since Lucas Erceg hasn’t batted for 3 weeks), they’ve run off 6 straight wins anyway. Well done gentlemen!

Lo Cain starts for the Sounds, in what’s expected to be his last rehab game before he returns to the MLB club. The Sounds are trying to snap a 3-game skid, with Aaron Ashby getting the start:
