2021-07-24: White Sox (Rodón) at Brewers (Burnes) [Brewers win, 6-1 -- Rowdy hits a pair of home runs, receives curtain call]

Eye Black
There will be ton of Milwaukee fans in Chicago when they play too. It’s only an hour and a half away

The Brewers don’t play the White Sox down there. Just like with the Cubs, there are more flatlanders that come here than the other way around because the park here is nicer and more accessible than theirs.

And because there are a lot more people in Chicago then Milwaukee…….

I’m going to Cubs game in august. I guarantee there will be a ton of brewers fans there

The fact is there are just more Cubs fans than brewers. That’s just a fact

Is considerably cheaper to go to a brewers game than Cubs. You will always see a ton of Cubs fans in Milwaukee. But sell the brewers fans short

I know this isn't going to be popular but I question whether they are going to trade for a big bat.

I agree and pen may be the same. Add Houser and Lauer to the pen with short rotation in playoffs. I think they’ll inquire about bats and arms, but think it’ll have to be a deal on their terms.

And What position would be filled? 1B maybe…. and at what cost? We aren’t swimming with top minor league talent. I have to agree now. I feel they’ll get a bat, but it is hard to see a big bat coming here batting in the middle of the order.

Depends on your definition of "people"...

Of course he walks the next guy.

Really obnoxious how many White Sox fans are here. There should not be this much of a mixed crowd against us on our field when we're having a great year.

AmFam Field has problems. Again I heard the radio announcers talking about a late arriving crowd. The problem I have experiences is not folks arriving late, it's the lack of organization getting people into the park. It is taking toooooo loooong. We were outside the stadium stuck on the highway 1 hour before game time. We rushed as fast as we could and could not get to our seats until 1 out left in the 2nd inning. Others have mentioned quicker ways in but if you're not local that is not of much help. There was no traffic control until you reach the lots. Big Deal by then! Makes you think twice about going and shucking out big bucks when you miss about 1/4 of the game while in lines going nowhere. Today is even a bigger crowd. You know some of those folks won't get to their seats until the 4th. I am probably going to give going one more try, if I experience the same situation....I'm done. Many of my friends have said the same thing....they are not going- too much of a hassle.

Suter is a real head scratcher to me. I watch him throw and think "I could hit this guy" (yeah, I know I actually couldn't), I have almost no confidence in him, and yet time after time look him up and there he is with an ERA in the low 3s.

I'd give the 9th to Hader since he needs some work. If for some reason that's not the idea, letting Suter finish this out would be my second choice.

Edit: Good call, Craig.

I’d go with Hader. His last few outings have been shaky so give him an inning now with a cushion and he’ll still be available tomorrow if needed.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

[sarcasm]Then I would do the opposite[/sarcasm] :tongue

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Great to see Rowdy showing off his power tonight. Agree with those that pointed out he puts together a lot of competitive at bats.

Aside from Roc Riggio announcing tonight he’s going to Oklahoma State, this has been a pretty charmed evening for the Brewers.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

At what point does JBJ have to be Superman on defense to justify a roster spot. Sure he's streaky, but I never thought his good offensive production days would only be on Brewer off days...

Yeah, Keston is an easy target because he has no defensive value and a bad bat, but JBJ's 50 wRC+ is not much better than Keston's 57
