Peralta vs Giolito, Burnes vs Rodon, Woodruff vs Lynn...great series for pitching matchups.

By runs allowed WAR those are five of the top ten starters in baseball with Woodruff (2nd, 5.0), Rodon (6th, 4.4), Lynn (8th, 4.1), Burnes (9th, 3.8) & Freddy (10th, 3.7). Giolito is all the way down in 45th.

Not as many lefties in the lineup tonight

Half of the Brewers position players in the lineup are lefties which seems fine. At this point I’ll take giving Taylor a shot at facing Giolito over JBJ.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

The only deviations from the recent lineup are Tellez for Peterson and Taylor for Bradley.

Seems like a sensible time to give Tellez a shot as Peterson has cooled off the last coupe of weeks and his defense was poor on Wednesday.

The reverse splits might be the reasoning behind playing Taylor.

Giolito has not been as dominant as expected this season, but he is till very capable of going deep into a game with little damage. Hopefully the Brewers can snap out of their midweek funk.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Who knows but maybe Taylor has had success vs Giolito in minors when going back in time. Or just liking the future matchup when CC bats JBJ to replace Taylor and bullpen. Do often feel CC pre-determines his gameplan on defensive moves with PH like 6th inning or 7th inning this vs 8th inning and 9th inning.

Reds vs Cardinals this weekend. Not sure who to root against more, especially now that Castellanos’ injury makes the Reds less of a threat. I just hope neither team sweeps.

I’m rooting more for reds since we only have three games left against them. We have 13 vs cards so get them as far away as possible

Wonder what Terry Bevington is up to?

I was hoping for more than that with bases still loaded with one out.

I can't blame CC for batting Jace there. Seemed like the right spot. I just hope we don't miss him later.
