9 strikeouts and 2 hits in 6 innings for Luna. Send him to Biloxi!

Pre-Game Media Notes

Spanberger's Historic Night Powers Shuckers To 14-3 Win

Shuckers’ Outfielder Sets Franchise Record for RBI, Ties Record For Homers and Hits in a Game

By Garrett Greene

Garrett recapped things well but indicates more insights will be forthcoming.

Not only did Spanberger set records for Biloxi, he smashed them as well for an M-Braves opponent:

"Spanberger's 5-for-6 night, three homers, and nine RBI were all single-game records against the M-Braves. The previous mark for RBI's was Eric Eymann of Chattanooga, with eight on May 11, 2018. No opponent had recorded a three-homer game previously. The last five-hit game was current Marlins player Garrett Cooper of Biloxi on September 1, 2015."

Let's not overlook others -

CF Garrett Mitchell on base four times (two singles, two walks), as was LF Mitch Longo (double, two singles, walk) and 1B Luis Castro (two singles, two walks).

3B David Fry and C Brent Diaz reached three times apiece, SS Brice Turang and SS Cam Devanney twice each.

Solid "bullpen game" on the fly due to LHP Andy Otero's well-deserved promotion to the Sounds.

Weston Wilson Leads Sounds Over Jumbo Shrimp

Went 4-for-4 and Hit a Three-Run Homer in the 10th Inning

Standard day off for Lorenzo Cain.

Payton Henry 3-for-5, Aaron Ashby two scoreless, nice.

Manager Rick Sweet ejected in the 4th.

Give him tons of credit, Josh Lindblom's game logs reflect the strides he's made. No room in the big league inn, however.
